Preston
Power Shower Rating - 8 (both the venue and the travelodge score highly here, even despite the fact I had forgotten my towel and had to dry off with my trusty ac lighting crew t-shirt)
Breakfast Rating - 4 (another McDonalds)
So then... off to Preston, and the Charter Theatre.
The interesting thing about this venue has to be the get in. If you look closely, you can make out a slightly poorly sven looking up at us through the big hatch in the stage floor which is where all the gear had to go, about 3 storeys up in the air! - thanks to the very friendly house crew and a rather large chain hoist we managed to fit everything up and through the hole (just)
After the slightly odd get in, we then set up the front of house gear up on the side balcony, the only place we could fit everything, since the show was sold out. This meant that Phil was mixing on little speakers by the sound desk, and Sven could only really see half of the stage - after an hour of being Svens "focus buddy" everything was set.
The show ran well and all were happy. A BIG thanks to the house crew who were really friendly and helpful, special thanks to Nick for your help and ginger jokes throughout the day.
Due to my recent hair related "accident" (thanks guys) - I was eager to get back at Craig, and despite not really coming up with anything quite as good, (or permanent) I did manage a few laughs by attempting to tie him up with lx tape at various points during the day.
